Directions for Microwave Preparation (HOT)

1) Shake contents of Natural Pack to one end, fold material into compact form and place your Natural Pack in the centre of your microwave.
2) Heat on High as follows:

Palm ½ to 1 minute*
Standard 1 to 2 minutes maximum*
Stretch 1 to 2 ½ minutes maximum
*
Pouch 1 to 2 minutes maximum
*
Palm 1 to 2 ½ minutes maximum
*

3) Apply directly to affected area
4) Re-heat as needed but be sure to reduce microwaving time by at least ½ if reheating is immediate.

* Heating times may vary with individual microwaves and according to user preference. Suggested heating times are based on trials in 750 watt microwave ovens.

Directions for Conventional Oven Preparation (HOT)

1) Moisten the surface of your Natural Pack on both sides with 6 to 8 bursts from a water spray bottle or by pouring ½ to 1 ounce of water directly onto the bag surface.
2) Fold your Natural Pack into a compact position. Place it in an 'Oven Cooking Bag'   (specially designed, clear film bags available from most grocery outlets). Use the tie provided to seal the 'Oven Cooking Bag' and place the now-enclosed Natural Pack in a glass cooking dish. Place the dish in the center of your oven.
3) Heat oven to 200°F (maximum). Check you Natural Pack every 5 minutes or so until the temperature you desire is reached. Use caution not to overheat.
4) Apply to affected area.

5) Re-heat as needed, repeating Steps 1 to 4.
Other than the microwave preparation listed above, this is the recommended method for heating your Natural Pack. Other methods may work but are not endorsed or guaranteed.

About Moist Heat and Re-Hydrating Your Natural Pack

A special feature of your Natural Pack is its ability to provide moist heat. If you are not using your Natural Pack repeatedly in a short span of time, you may never need to treat it to ensure consistent moist heat. If you do use it repeatedly, simply spray your Natural Pack a few times with water from a spray bottle or pour approximately ½ to 1 ounce of water directly onto its surface. Let the Natural Pack absorb the liquid, then heat normally. To maintain superior and consistent moist heat, wash your Natural Pack frequently.

Directions for Chilling in Freezer (COLD)

1) Place your Natural Pack in the freezer until desired temperature is reached. This should take about 1 hour.
2) Apply directly to affected area no additional preparation or wrapping in towels is necessary.
Note: For longer term storage in the freezer and to prevent absorption of freezer odors, seal in an airtight plastic bag.

Washing and Care of your Natural Pack (CLEAN)

Natural Packs are readily machine washable and dryable.

1) Put your Natural Pack in the washer with a washload of similarly sorted colors. Wash on permanent press using either warm or cold water. Use a normal amount of soap and/or fabric softener.
DO NOT USE BLEACH! Do not let soak in washer longer than 30 minutes.
2) Lay flat to dry, turning occasionally or preferably place in dryer set on permanent press. It may take 2 or more cycles to dry fully.
3) Repeated washing and drying will not harm your Natural Pack. It is that simple!

Cautions and Warnings

Do Not Overheat your Natural Pack! It is possible to burn anything organic in the microwave or conventional oven. The contents of your Natural Pack are fully organic and do not contain any special burn resistant or fire retardent chemicals. Please use caution and common sense when heating.

If overheated, Natural Packs could cause burns. Please Check temperatures before use. Users take all responsibility for creating the temperatures of Natural Packs, and how and on whom they are used. If intended user is temperature insensitive, or unable to communicate, please have a responsible adult check the temperature before use. If user has circulatory problems, consult physician before using any hot or cold therapy.
